Embarking on a new learning journey is fun, challenging and eventually very rewarding. Starting to programme is a fantastic hobby, which can also lead to a fantastic well-paid career. Programming can also go hand-in-hand with engineering qualifications. So, if you are a would be engineer, or are thinking of becoming an engineer, then programming can really give you the edge amongst peers.
Microcontrollers are used so much every day by most of us, yet we may not even realise it!
Getting started in Arduino can be a good starting point. If you decide to learn for a hobby be sure to check out technology and programming for hobbyists.

My personal word of advice as a programmer, would be check out free online learning videos. If you are able to have 2 screens. One showing the video and one to do your programming on. This way you can watch, pause, programme, and resume. Also remember that little by little is the best way to absorb the information. Mentally, remember that is will take hours, days and months, until you are able to do a small piece of code unaided.
